Alex Branton, PharmD, BCIDP
Alex Branton is a highly experienced pharmacist with a rich background in infectious diseases. He graduated from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Pharmacy in 2010 and completed a specialized residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Alex earned his Board Certification in Infectious Diseases Pharmacy (BCIDP) in 2015.
With over a decade of experience, Alex has worked in both hospital and community settings, focusing on medication management, patient counseling, and antibiotic stewardship. He is dedicated to continuous learning, regularly attending national and international conferences to stay current with the latest pharmaceutical advancements.
Alex is an active member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA). His contributions to the field have been recognized with multiple awards for excellence in pharmacy practice and patient care.
Walter R. Lowe, M.D.
Dr. Walter Lowe, M.D., is the Chairman and Professor of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He also holds the Edward T. Smith Professorship and is the Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Center and LBJ General Hospital.
As the Medical Director of the Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine Institute, Dr. Lowe specializes in diagnosing and treating knee, shoulder, and elbow injuries. Additionally, he serves as an Adjunct Professor at Baylor College of Medicine and has previously directed the Baylor Sports Medicine Fellowship.
Dr. Lowe is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with a sub-specialty in Sports Medicine. His education includes an M.D. from the University of Texas Medical School and advanced training under Dr. Frank Jobe at the Kerian-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic.
He is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the NFL Team Physicians Society.

Sara Rad, PharmD
Sara Rad, PharmD, is a highly skilled pharmacist dedicated to patient care and community health. She graduated from the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy in 2008 and completed a Clinical Pharmacy Practice residency at the Mayo Clinic. Sara specializes in chronic disease management and patient education, significantly improving patient outcomes through personalized care.
Sara worked as a Clinical Pharmacist in a major Detroit hospital, where she developed successful medication therapy management programs. She holds certifications in Diabetes Education and Geriatric Pharmacy and is an active member of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP).
In 2015, Sara co-founded an independent pharmacy focused on personalized care and community outreach. Her exceptional contributions have earned her multiple accolades, including Pharmacist of the Year from the Michigan Pharmacists Association in 2019.
David Carranza, PharmD, MHSc
David Carranza, PharmD, MHSc, is a passionate pharmacist dedicated to improving patient care and medication management. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy in 2012 and his Master of Health Sciences from Johns Hopkins University in 2015.
With experience in both hospital and community settings, David has developed advanced medication management protocols and specializes in chronic disease management and patient education. He is an active member of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and the Texas Pharmacy Association (TPA), with additional training in Diabetes Education and Geriatric Pharmacy.
David frequently conducts workshops and training sessions, sharing his expertise with pharmacy students and healthcare professionals. His dedication has earned him multiple accolades, including Pharmacist of the Year from the TPA in 2019.
